The fourth and final stage of the inaugural EGP season was held in Paris on August 30th and 31st 1986.
The venue was the same as the 1983 WOC, the top floor of the Hotel Concorde La Fayette with splendid views of Paris. With 28 players representing 7 different countries, the Paris Open was the best attended tournament of the circuit.
US champion David Shaman defeated Graham Brightwell in the finals by the narrowest of margins (35-29, 30-34, 32-32).
As for the EGP season finale it could hardly have been more exciting with Imre Leader overtaking Jean-François Puget in the overall standings by a single EGP point!
