The third stage of the inaugural EGP season was held in Copenhagen on April 19th and 20th 1986.
Just like in Cambridge no finals were played. Imre Leader won his second EGP tournament (he won the previous stage in Cambridge) which reduced the gap between him and overall leader Jean-François Puget and set up an exciting season finale in Paris.
