I grew up in Härjedalen, where I discovered my love for games during school. I played various games like tic-tac-toe (Five in a Row), chess, backgammon, table hockey, and more. I was more interested in games than in sports. The first tournament I remember participating in was a Five in a Row tournament in the school library in 1977.

In 1984, I started playing Othello. My first tournament was in Gothenburg in 1986, which was quite a journey from northern to southern Sweden. But it was worth it. This marked the beginning of a fantastic hobby that has given me so much.

By 1986, I had already begun organizing Othello tournaments, living in Norrköping at the time. Since 1987, I have been a board member of the Swedish Othello Association. Recognizing that I was a better organizer than a player, I dedicated more time to the administrative side of the game. In 2005, the World Othello Federation (WOF) was established, and I served as its first president from 2005 to 2010. Since 2012, I have been the General Secretary and have worked closely with the WOF Office. I've also been involved in the World Othello Championship Tournament Direction since 2003.

Since 2019, my work within the World Othello Federation has focused on school and youth projects. This role allowed me to spend half a year in Mongolia, collaborating with the Mongolian Othello Association. Together, we initiated various projects to help all WOF member nations establish youth activities and train teachers in schools to teach games like Othello. It was at "Södra Skolan" in Sveg that I first learned to play games, thanks to teachers who were enthusiastic about playing and teaching various games. The youth are our collective future!

I have competed in two World Othello Championships, in 2001 in New York, USA, and in 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand. I am now set to compete in my third WOC in 2024, in Hangzhou, China. I'm proud to be the first person from Härjedalen to compete in the World Othello Championship. 

I represent Härjedalen, and am also a member of the Mälaröarnas Othello Society.
