Rørby Open 2025

The annual tournament Rørby Othello Open was played for the 10th time in the village Rørby near Kalundborg at the west coast of Zealand, Denmark.
17 players in all ages from 8 to +70 showed up, which is a new record. For six of the participants this was their first tournament. Reigning Danish champion Claus Qvist Jessen won the tournament with 7 victories after 7 rounds. Two former winner of the Danish Nationals, Karsten Feldborg and Palle Badsted, became number 2 and 3 with 6, respectively 5 victories.
The two Norwegian participants Vidar Aas and Gudny Scheving made a fine come-back to tournament Othello, being number 4 and 6.
Among the young talents 13 year-old Viktor Emil Snede from Greve became the best U-18 and U-15 player on the 8th place. Anna Therese Olsen, likewise from Greve, became the best new player, and her younger sister Angelina Olsen on 12th place became the best U-12 player. 8 years old Bror Kepp from Kaldred became best U-10 player on the 14th place.
Everybody had a good experience, and enjoyed participating in this event.
