European Grand Prix 1991

The Fédération Belge d'Othello (now known as the Belgian Othello Association) was created in 1990, and by the following year the Brussels Open was added as a new stage to the EGP season making the 1991 EGP a five tournament circuit.
Another novelty in 1991 was the initial stage moved from Milan to Rome (the beginning of a long tradition of moving the Italian EGP tournament to different cities around the country).
Imre Leader won his third EGP title after winning both Cambridge and the inaugural Brussels stage.
