The Japan Othello Association arrange National Championship since 1973.
Meijin-Sen is an classic Othello tournament who are arranged since 1979. From 2009 Meijin-Sen is open also for non-japanese players. 

Attended in World Othello Championship since 1977
The Japan Othello Association arranged W.O.C 1976, 1986, 1996 (all in Tokyo) and 2006 (in Mito). 
2013 they arranged the 30th year celebration tournament Othello World Cup in Tokyo.
